IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, and IPL technology harnesses the power of intense pulsed light to achieve incredible results for patients wanting to improve the condition of their skin. IPL stimulates collagen in the skin, which creates a more elasticised, youthful look.

IPL technology targets a specific colour in your skin. Your skin is heated safely under intense light, and your body gets rid of the skin cells being heated. While unwanted cells are being discarded, collagen production is being stimulated.

After an IPL treatment, you may notice that you have a more even skin tone and that some of your visible signs of ageing are reduced.

You must have an Initial Injectable Consultation with our appearance medicine nurse before proceeding with your first treatment regardless of if you have had this treatment elsewhere. This ensures you are fully educated and informed before proceeding with treatment. This consult cost is deducted from your treatment cost, should you decide to go ahead on the day.

Botox and Xeomin are one of several ‘wrinkles relaxers’ which get injected into the muscle, temporarily reducing the action of those targeted muscles, and preventing your facial muscles from creating wrinkles when you smile or frown.

The medicine needs to be placed in the right muscle, in the best dose, in the correct place. Our aim is to turn the muscle activity down, but not off, so you still have some facial expression, which is why we are renowned for our natural looking results.

Yes, we use genuine Botox and Xeomin, which have been safely used for over 16 years in a range of medical and cosmetic applications.  Xeomin® and Botox® are similar, in that they both contain botulinum toxin. But unlike Botox®, Xeomin® contains a different form of botulinum toxin with no accessory proteins. They are both comparable in effectiveness and it really comes down to personal preference.

Results can take a few days to visibly take effect with full smoothing and rejuvenation appearing after 14 days.  The injection process is quick and the needles are small and fine, so the Botox® or Xeomin® treatment hardly hurts at all. You’ll likely feel a pinprick, but most customers describe the treatment as being a bit uncomfortable rather than painful! With no downtime needed, you can return to your day as soon as the treatment is finished.

After treatment, your skin may be pink or red at the treatment site. This is normal and should go away within 15-20 minutes. We’ll check in with you after treatment with a follow-up appointment to review the treatment and ensure you’re satisfied with the results.

We are famous for creating a ‘natural look’ with lower doses more frequently to avoid a frozen face, and we generally recommend repeat treatments every 3-4 months to achieve the best results.
